RemoteMD is a telemedicine company that has been in existence for over 20 years. They have been providing telemedicine services to oil rig workers in the Gulf of Mexico. The technology they use allows a physician or specialist see wound site all the way down to the size of a hair follicle. While the terms telehealth and telemedicine are used interchangeably, RemoteMD see telemedicine as a physician making an assessment that leads to a diagnosis resulting in a treatment plan and maybe a prescription. Telehealth is the follow up care to make sure the patient is following the care plan and taking their medications. With the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic, providers have seen a tremendous increase in the use of telehealth/telemedicine. RemoteMD will help providers with what types of telehealth/telemedicine services make sense for them, how to integrate these services within their current service delivery model and coordinate care at a higher level.
KardioScreen is a 6 or 12 lead EKG that is no bigger than an iPad, uses ankle and wrist bracelets so you don’t have to put all those leads on a patient and gives a full telemetry readout that can be sent anywhere. There is artificial intelligence attached that will give suggested care paths based on the readout. This is FDA approved. Serving clients in the home health environment can be challenging and particularly when a diagnostic like an EKG is needed. The staff at KardioScreen will educate providers on value of using telemedicine diagnostic tools to help keep clients in the care setting they want to be in, avoid unnecessary emergency room visits or hospitalizations and how to incorporate into their EMR systems. Using these types of diagnostic tools with artificial intelligence included can help present suggested care path for the home health provider to follow to achieve the best health outcomes for the people they serve.
