Program Summary/Objectives:

Summary-

Providers and EVV vendors have, or should have been, using EVV in Ohio for several years now. Ohio has not started denying claims yet due to EVV, but that doesn’t mean providers and vendors are in compliance. This webinar will help give you some tips and tricks for making sure your EVV visits are matching up to your EVV claims. If you’re a provider who is using an alternate EVV vendor, or are an EVV vendor yourself, we will also go through ways to make sure your transmissions are being accepted. This webinar will benefit both Sandata users and alternate EVV vendor users.

Objectives-

  1. Walk through what to look for on different payers Explanation of Benefits (EOB) to see if there’s an EVV error. Not all of them are the same.
  2. How to take what you learn from your EOB’s to update billing practices or report trouble areas to your alternate EVV vendor
  3. For alternate EVV systems, ways to see rejections from Sandata for files sent

Presenter -  Kristy Pyles

Kristy has over 20 years’ experience in law enforcement, where she has worked as a corrections officer, a patrol officer, and as an investigator. Her most recent assignments were investigating home health care and pharmacy fraud. Based on her experience, Kristy was then asked to lead an initiative in Ohio to prevent fraud, waste, and abuse. Kristy spent several years designing and implementing an Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) solution for Ohio, during which time she built and managed the EVV Operations Unit.
